MOOV ENERGY BAR: packaging design
Goal: The goal of this project was to design a new energy candy bar for Effem Foods Inc. Due to the popularity of beverages with caffeine, like Red Bull + Monster, Effem wanted to launch a candy bar with Guarana which is a caffeine substitute. The candy bar was required to have all the appeal of a candy bar – chocolate, caramel and peanuts but have an added energy kick. The bar is target to be consumed as a after school snack – while spending time with friends or a snack on the way out to evening events such as movies and sporting events or clubs and bars for older audiences.
Concept: For my creative concept for this project, I wanted to have a bold, yet eye catching design that focused on the “energy”portion of the bar. The name of the bar (MOOV) was created using a circuit like design to help represent the concept of energy along with lime green, highlight yellow and black being the primary color palette. I wanted my design to have a strong shelf presence that would be recognizable and unique among other competitors in the same field.
